Profile Alessandro Garrone

Born in 1963, he has been chief executive officer of the ERG Group since 2002. He took over from his father Riccardo, and between 2002 and 2003, together with his brother Edoardo, the group chairman, transformed an oil company into a multi-energy group with a particular focus on alternative sources, which have been fully part of the core business since their acquisition of Enertad.

These were years of training and growth within the group in which he proved himself in various sectors, including management of international relations, operational planning, control of company management, hiring ships and buying crude oil, company restructuring and as director of the central finance and control department.
Alessandro doesn’t believe in football or politics but in people, in the impact of the company on the surrounding area and in social responsibility.
He is dedicated to his family, and he loves the mountains and skiing to the extent that one of his many roles is president of the Sestriere ski club.
His other passions include hunting and cooking and he enjoys putting his skills to the test in the kitchen. This is what led to his association with Roberto Costa and Marco Pedrelli which led to the creation of ARG (which stands for Alessandro Ristorazione Garrone), just as ERG stands for Edoardo Raffinerie Garrone, from the name of thefounder of the family company.
