Maxelâ Albaro

After six years from its opening in the Centro Storico (or Historic Center), another Maxela opens in Albaro, Genoa’s “chic” neighbourhood, the pre-eminent counterpart of the Genoese “carruggi” (or alleyways).
Made from an old 1950 delicatessen, this Restaurant has antique marble walls and “Art Nouveau” style wooden shelves; in the middle of the restaurant, considered to be the keystone of the place, there is the butcher’s counter made of marble, displaying various cuts of prime meats (known as scottone). On the bottom floor a small area was turned into a dining room used for business meetings and/or for “candlelit” dinners, an opportunity given only to a select few who are able to reserve the six available tables in time…
This Maxela located in Albaro has 40 place settings and it has kept the main characteristics of the other restaurants: the classic marble tables, the corks hung on the walls and the decoration of dishes on the walls just like the other restaurants.
